Periodic health and safety training

Periodic training is carried out during the employment. It is necessary for the employee to continue performing the duties in the position one holds. Periodic training is aimed at familiarizing employees with the new regulations in the field of health and safety at work. In addition, they allow employees to supplement their knowledge and skills in the field of health and safety. Trainings should take place during working hours. If for any reason this is impossible, then it shall be treated as overtime work. In both cases, the employee should receive certificates informing about their completion.

How often periodic health and safety should be conducted?

not less frequently than once in 3 years

– periodic training of workers employed in blue-collar positions, it is carried out in the form of training,

at least once a year

– periodic training for workers employed in blue-collar positions where particularly dangerous work is performed,

not less frequently than once in 5 years

– periodic training of people who are employers and other persons managing employees, in particular: managers, masters and foremen; engineering and technical employees, including designers, constructors of machines and other technical devices, technologists and production organizers, employees of the occupational health and safety service and other persons performing the tasks of this service; should be conducted in the form of a course, seminar or guided self-education,

not less frequently than once in 6 years

–periodic training of administrative and office employees, whose nature of work involves exposure to factors harmful to health, burdensome or dangerous, or with responsibility in the field of occupational health and safety; it should be conducted in the form of a course, seminar or guided self-study.
