Initial OHS training

Initial OHS training – intended for all people starting work. Details of the OHS training are included in the Regulation of the Minister of Economy and Labor of July 27, 2004. (Journal of Laws 04.180.1860, as amended)

We divide the initial training into:

General training – provides participants with the knowledge of the basic health and safety regulations contained in the Labor Code, the principles of first aid as well as the rules and regulations of occupational safety and health in a given workplace. General instruction can be carried out by an employee of the health and safety services or another person acting on behalf of the employer who performs the tasks of this service.

On-the-job training – provides employees with familiarization with the factors of the working environment occurring in their positions, occupational risks, methods of protection against threats and methods of safe work performance. The training should be carried out each time when the working conditions are modified, e.g. technical and organizational, as well as for an employee who changes the workplace. If an employee performs work on several positions, one should undergo such training in each of them. On-the-job training may be conducted by the employer or other person managing employees, on condition that such person is equipped with the appropriate qualifications, professional experience and training in conducting the on-the-job training.
